Volunteer Profile

I am retired and like all kinds of music, light opera, musical theatre, pop and country.

I have been married to Sandra for fifty years and have two daughters, a son and six grandchildren.

We spent many years running our own business.  I have been flying as a licensed pilot for over fifty years and have been a tow pilot and instructor with the Tauranga Gliding Club for many years.

My other interest is a Ham Radio and enjoy talking with contacts from all over the world as ZL1JLB.

I have always been a supporter of Village Radio and becoming an announcer gives me the opportunity to put back some of the pleasures that I have received from listening to Village Radio over the years.

I consider it a great honour to be part of the Tauranga Village Radio Team.
