I grew up in rural NSW where local AM station 2RG was the only frequency available. My musical taste was shaped by ex-shearer Allan Wallet who hosted the morning show and played a range of amazing music - lucky for me!
I fell in love with a kiwi girl and then fell in love with her beautiful country. Paula and I have been living in Tauranga since 2007.
A Weekend Sun story about Village Radio looking for volunteers really grabbed my attention. This was an opportunity to connect with our community and share music - a perfect combo for me. I had no radio experience, only an enthusiasm to learn and chip in. But I have found my way thanks to the amazingly supportive volunteer team.
I am a lifelong lover of all sorts of music - you will hear that in the songs I play. I am so happy to have found Village Radio. I can’t wait for my next shift at the station!
